Lickity Split Cafe in Englewood

I have been coming to this place 20years and it is the full embodiment of the statement "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Not much has changed in the past 20 years and that is a wonderful thing. They have a great 50's style diner decore with pictures of timeless classics all over the walls. From The Beatles to The Wizard of Oz; it sparks a great jog down memory lane while enjoying a delicious banana split, milkshake or a fabulous egg salad sandwich with their famous SPUDS on the side. That was always a favorite of mine. Great for families!! If you visit Englewood and you don't check this place out, you are cheating yourself out of the full Englewood, FL experience. Oh, did i mention their fresh, homemade soups are to die for!!

Excellent food and service. I had the corned beef reuben with house chips. Very good sandwich and the chips were amazing. They also have a great selection of hand dipped ice cream.

Friendly staff, excellent ice cream and an excellent menu selection for light meals. We got the specials for dinner and shared one scoop of ice cream for dessert and enjoyed alll of it. There is a wide variety of ice cream flavors and they are all creamy and not overly sugary sweet.

Cornerstone of Englewood. Been here as long as ive been down here and never fails to make a great lunch. Great family owned business.

Such a fun place to eat. Fun staff who take pride in their craftsmanship. We went for some delicious ice cream. Looking forward to going back for a hamburger.

Cant beat the homemade ice cream. No other ice cream in town can compare to this. You can taste the difference! As a local for almost 20 years and having just moved, I make a point to stop by every time I'm in town.

Friendly staff and wonderful service! Highly recommended. If you're here in the fall be sure to get a pumpkin bar. You must save room for the ice cream! That is a must.

A small ice cream/sundae shop decorated with old photos, and awesome booths that look like old cars, decorations like the speakers from the old days at a drive in movie, when you hooked them over your side window- and so much more. The ice cream is homemade, service is excellent, and they do have a diverse lunch menu! It's a small gem that could easily be overlooked driving by... so stop and check it out! You will be glad you did !

This is a place I visit everytime I'm in Florida visit my grandparents. I love this place! Super cute place, wonderful staff. Amazing ice cream and good sandwiches!

Great little diner. I've cream selection is awesome. Everything we had was good. Wait staff is incredible. Brought an art kit over to help calm our upset toddler.

Cozy, old time themed diner. Everything I have ever had here was very good. Some of my favorites here would most definitely be the soups. The sandwiches here are also a great option. They are very simple, but also really flavorful. If I had a chose of any ice cream shop in the area, this would be top on my list. The flavors range from kids favorites to some more sophisticated flavors. The experience is always fun here!

Fresh ingredients make great sandwiches. Ice creams are creamy, portions are generous, the fruit in the ice cream is generous too. Delicious!

LOVE this place. It has that classic small town, family owned, cozy vibe. All the employees are kind and upbeat. The food and ice cream is amazing. I think the thing that stands out the most, is that the employees (Shelby was one <3) have so much patience and love for the little kids. They are happy to make them happy. It's really special to say the least.

Delightful! Friends introduced this gem to us as it's tucked in a strip mall and it's easy to drive by and miss it. Their ice cream is absolutely the best. Staff is so friendly. Great find!!

This review is for ice cream only as I've never tried the food. The ice cream selection is large and of good quality. It's a great spot for kids, some of the booths are made to look like cars and the headlights turn on. The staff is always friendly.

It was a nice place at one time. Recently I went for ice cream and there was not much left in the case. It was also dirty and messy. I will not be going back.

Unbelievable food. The club was fantastic. Fries were unreal. Service was a little off putting... just seemed like something was a little off. Not the most welcoming service! But the food... so good lol

Great "down home" food, service and home made ice cream that is made on site! Their club sandwich is fabulous. The french fries are from fresh potatoes, the best.

Super service, great menu

They make 32 flavors of ice cream in house. Had a bing cherry shake. It was good and I got a second cup with the extra. Others in my party had the hamburger and reuben sandwich. They said both were good. Prices were fair. Place was clean. Staff was friendly. Got our food fairly quick.

they have really good ice cream. variety is adequate for the size store. prices are reasonable4.99 for a sunday not bad. the cups or containerscould be a bit larger, but i’m sure it has to do with the amount of product for a serving. the servers are very social, well mannered an the shop is clean an tidy with a decor of memorabilia

Ok food, not much of a homemade menu like you'd expect from a diner like atmosphere. I found that most of the food was frozen. However the staff were very polite.
